Multilateration surveillance is the step beyond the high initial cost and annual maintenance costs of Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR) and the ANPC Surveillance System is the next step in multilateration.

With compact receivers and all electronics completely contained in a small on-airport footprint, ANPC surveillance provides positional accuracy and update rates never before achieved at a fraction the cost of SSR and significantly lower cost and schedule for installation than multilateration systems requiring widely dispersed sensor units.

From a combination of time-of-arrival and angle-of-arrival measurments of each aircrafts transponder replies, ANPC surveillance positional information can be applied to air traffic solutions for area surveillance, local surveillance, approach surveillance and ground surveillance covering a wide range of services meeting the demand for increased safety, separation and incursion avoidance.

ANPC sensors also receive and decode ADS-B out messages to provide the definitive soluton for tracking aircraft with diverse equipage.
