Electrical Engineer - Mixed Signal Design

Position Summary

ANPC seeks an experienced Mixed Signal Design Engineer to contribute to the research and development of innovative signal processing and fusion products used in safety critical airborne guidance systems at its headquarters in Hood River, Oregon. This position participates in all aspects of development including product specification, design, implementation, layout, validation/verification, and device characterization.  Successful candidates will have experience in analog and mixed signal technology, analog/digital conversion, and RF signal creation and filtering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design of mixed-signal circuits with RF and high-speed digital components
  • Perform schematic and PCB layout verification tasks
  • Define board manufacturing specifications and provide fabrication and assembly vendor support
  • Support process improvement activities both within the department and company-wide
  • Work both independently and in an integrated product team format
  • Create and modify specification documents detailing system and subsystem requirements
  • Collaborate with others in the creation of technical reports, whitepapers, and user documentation
  • Provide on-going manufacturing and field support

Education & Experience Requirements

  • EE degree with minimum 8-10 years of design and test engineering experience
  • Proven experience taking designs from concept to production
  • Strong knowledge of analog and mixed signal circuit design fundamentals
  • Circuit and system simulation skills
  • Familiarity with modern FPGA’s, and associated test and debug.
  • Discrete time and continuous time signal processing skills
  • Strong lab and hardware validation skills
  • Strong Python software skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong time management, task prioritization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to rapidly grasp technical concepts and solutions
  • High level of personal drive and self-motivation
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Due to the nature of the projects, we work on, US citizenship or legal permanent US resident required
